Floral Design theme – “Last Vestiges of Summer”.

- Forage for what is in your garden – be creative and use whatever you can find in your own backyard!
- Using a recyclable container, create an arrangement for an outdoor gathering.
- Check your roadsides to see what you can find.
- Can also use whole vegetables or fruit.
Horticulture Schedule – “Wine is the divine juice of September.” Voltaire
- Class 1: A collection of 3-5 cut single-stem specimens, each a different species and/or cultivar cut from exhibitor’s garden using all or a mix of annuals, perennials, biennials, rhizomes, bulb, etc. Each stem to be a different variety. To be shown in a clear glass container of exhibitor’s choice. Not to exceed 16” in diameter. Arrange in a pleasing manner.

- Class 2: Harvest: Three small vegetables of the same variety grown by exhibitor. (for example – 3 Sungold cherry tomatoes; not 1 of Sungold, red grape & black cherry tomato) Other examples of small vegetables would be beans, radishes, peas. To be exhibited on a white paper plate provided by the Horticulture Committee.
- Class 3: Harvest: One large vegetable grown by exhibitor (eggplant, squash, pumpkin, tomato, cucumber, pepper, carrot, etc) To be exhibited on a white paper plate provided by the Horticulture Committee.

Houseplants – must have been owned and grown by exhibitor for a minimum of 6 months. Containers may not exceed 14”. Provide a saucer if the pot has a drainage hole.
- Class 4: Houseplants grown for foliage
- Class 5: Houseplants grown for flowers

- Bring it in to share – no judging – just an opportunity to give it a try. Mats will be available.
