You may make one entry into each class.

Springing Forth

Class 1: Single stem cut specimen of an early spring bulb, perennial or biennial displayed in a glass container supplied by the exhibitor

Fooling Mother Nature

Class 2: A branch from a shrub or tree that has been grown and forced by exhibitor, not to exceed 24” in length from tip to edge of container supplied by exhibitor.

Native:

Class 3:  One to three mixed cut stems of  native plants (annual, perennial, biennial, tuber, rhizome, bulb, shrub branch, tree branch) that are native to the Northeast. If pollinator friendly, please list what the plant(s) attract on the key card.

Your Indoor Garden: Par: An exhibit of exceptional horticultural merit that has been owned and grown by exhibitor for a minimum of 6 months. Entries will be judged individually against perfection. Containers must not exceed 14” diagonally. Provide saucer if necessary.

Class 4   Houseplants grown for foliage

Class 5:  Houseplants grown for flowers

11:00  Speaker: Dr. Robert Marra “Fungi: Friends or Foe”
Dr. Marra’s expertise is in plant pathology, mycology, fungal genetics, population biology, evolution, and molecular biology. While forest pathology is his principle research interest, Dr. Marra studies a broad range of plant pathosystems from various perspectives.  Followed by Q & A

Noon : Final Appreciation of Bench Show and depart.
